Jim Kilman

Jim is currently a Senior Advisor at Burford Capital Ltd, a NYSE- and LSE-listed finance firm that is the world's largest focused on law and where, from 2019 to 2021, he was Chief Financial Officer.
Jim serves as a Trustee of the MFS Mutual Funds, Boston MA, the oldest and one of the largest mutual fund complexes in the US. Jim is a member of the Board of Directors of Blackboiler Inc, Ashburn, VA, a provider of contract review software.
Prior to his retirement in 2016 as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley, Jim spent 32 years in the investment banking business, including senior roles at Goldman Sachs, ABN AMRO and PaineWebber. Through much of his career, Jim worked with the management and boards of diversified financial services companies in providing advice on strategy, mergers, restructurings and raising capital.
He has previously served on the Boards of alpha-En Corporation, a publicly-traded provider of lithium metal technology in Yonkers, NY; Recombinetics Inc., a privately-held agricultural bio-technology company in St. Paul, MN; Modular Space Corporation, a privately-held supplier of modular structures in Berwyn, PA; and Lebenthal Holdings, a privately-held broker-dealer and asset manager in New York, NY. His past community involvement includes serving on the Board of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival in Cold Spring, NY; as Chair of the Investment Committee of the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY; and on the Parents Association Boards at Bucknell University and Carleton College. He currently serves as Treasurer of his Yale College Class.
Jim holds an M.A. and a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
Theresa Beach Kilman

Theresa is actively engaged with 37 Angels, a community of investors committed to closing the gender gap through education about startup investing.
Theresa currently serves as Leadership Grants Vice President for a local Vero Beach foundation which provides capital funding to broaden opportunities, build community and transform lives for neighbors-in-need.
Theresa served nine years as a Board Member, including as Vice Chair and Nominating/Governance Chair, of the Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC), a nonprofit five-screen cinema and education center located in Pleasantville, NY and one of the most successful suburban art houses in the country. She has also co-chaired JBFC's annual gala.
Theresa completed ten years of service on Westchester Community Foundation’s Board of Advisors including four years as Board Chair. In addition, she served for two years as membership chair of The Thursday Club, a philanthropic organization based in Ardsley-on-Hudson, NY. Theresa previously co-chaired the Nomination/Governance Committee and was a Board member of Teatown, a nature preserve and education center in Ossining, NY. Theresa has previously been active as Co-Founder and Co-President of the Kids’ Club of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow and on the Parents Association Boards at Bucknell University, Carleton College and the Hackley School.
Theresa began her career as a commercial lending officer at the Manufacturers Hanover Corporation. She holds an M.B.A in Finance from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Marketing from Miami University.
